Scripture: “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man… God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV)
Devotional
Temptation comes in many forms in real estate:
• hiding problems to protect a deal,
• exaggerating to gain a listing,
• gossiping to appear knowledgeable,
• manipulating terms to your advantage,
• neglecting spiritual disciplines because you’re busy.
Temptation is not sin—but giving in to it is. God promises that no temptation is unique, overwhelming, or impossible to resist. He offers strength, escape, and power through the Holy Spirit.
Integrity means choosing righteousness in the moment of temptation. It means praying rather than acting impulsively. It means remembering who you represent—Christ, not the commission check.
You are never alone in temptation. God is with you, ready to strengthen and guide you.
Reflection Questions:
· What temptation do I face most often in my work?
· What “escape route” has God provided that I need to take?
· How can I rely on the Holy Spirit in moments of weakness?
Prayer
Lord, give me strength to resist temptation. Help me choose righteousness and depend on Your Spirit. Keep my heart steadfast in integrity. Amen.
