Scripture: “Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool.” — Proverbs 19:1 (ESV)
Devotional
Pressure exposes character. When deals fall apart, when deadlines loom, when clients push for exceptions, or when money is on the line—these moments reveal what is truly in your heart. It’s easy to act upright when everything is smooth; it’s much harder when stakes are high.
Integrity under pressure is one of the strongest witnesses you can offer. When you refuse to hide a defect that could cost you a sale, when you decline to “massage” a detail in the paperwork, when you choose honesty despite financial loss—you demonstrate that Christ, not commission, is Lord of your life.
God values integrity far above results. He is more concerned with the purity of your heart than the size of your paycheck. In seasons of pressure, He invites you to trust Him deeply—to depend not on compromise, but on His provision.
Your actions under pressure preach a sermon your clients will never forget.
Reflection Questions:
· When am I most tempted to compromise?
· What pressure situation do I need to surrender to God today?
· How has God honored my past obedience?
Prayer
Father, help me remain faithful under pressure. Strengthen my integrity and steady my heart. Let my conduct honor You even in stressful situations. Amen.
