Integrity With Your Emotions [Residential Broker #83]

Integrity With Your Emotions [Residential Broker #83]

Scripture: “In your anger do not sin.” — Ephesians 4:26 (NIV)

Devotional

God created you with emotions—joy, sadness, excitement, anger, concern. Emotions aren’t sinful; they are signals. But integrity means you steward your emotions rather than letting them rule your actions.

In real estate, emotions rise quickly. Clients lash out. Deals collapse. Agents become unreasonable. Stress piles up. Your emotions may flare—but God calls you to handle them with maturity and self-control.

“Be angry and do not sin” means you can feel emotions fully while still responding righteously. It looks like:

• pausing before reacting,

• praying before responding,

• refusing to take things personally,

• expressing truth without hostility,

• and giving your emotions to God instead of letting them drive your decisions.

When you manage emotions with integrity, you create stability for yourself and peace for those around you. You reflect Christ’s calmness in the storm.

Reflection Questions:

·       Which emotion tends to influence my reactions most strongly?

·       How can I invite the Holy Spirit into moments of emotional pressure?

·       What situation today needs a controlled, Christlike response?

Prayer

Holy Spirit, govern my emotions. Give me wisdom to pause, pray, and respond with righteousness. Help me honor You in every emotional moment. Amen.
