Your work is not only about what you accomplish—it is also about who you influence along the way. Every interaction with a colleague, team member, or junior professional is an opportunity to invest in someone else’s growth.
In accounting, knowledge is often passed down through experience. Processes, judgment, and discernment are learned over time, often through observation and guidance. As you grow in your role, you become a source of that learning for others.
Scripture calls us to multiplication—to entrust what we have learned to others. This is not limited to formal teaching. It happens through everyday moments: explaining a concept, modeling a process, offering encouragement, or demonstrating integrity in action.
Investing in others requires intentionality. It means slowing down enough to teach, being patient with questions, and viewing your knowledge as something to share rather than protect.
God uses these moments to extend your influence beyond your own work. When you invest in others, you are participating in something larger—helping shape future leaders who will carry forward the same values.
Today, look for opportunities to invest in someone else’s growth.
