Learning From Every Transaction [Residential Broker #169]
Scripture
Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12.
Devotional
Every transaction—smooth or difficult—is a classroom. Each one teaches you something about people, systems, communication, negotiation, timing, and yourself. Wise professionals learn from every experience rather than rushing past it.
Reflection turns experience into growth. Without reflection, transactions become tasks. But with reflection, they become teachers.
Ask yourself after each transaction:
What went well?
What did I learn?
What could I improve?
How did God work in this situation?
What new skill or insight do I now carry forward?
This pattern of reflection produces continual growth and deep wisdom. It ensures that even difficult deals leave you better, not bitter.
Reflection Questions
What recent transaction taught me something valuable?
Where did I grow—and where do I need growth?
How can I practice regular reflective learning?
Prayer
Lord, teach me through every experience. Help me gain wisdom from each transaction and grow continually in my craft. Amen.
