Scripture: “A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children.” (Proverbs 13:22)

Reflection:

Legacy is about more than material wealth; it’s about the impact you leave behind in the lives of others. Proverbs 13:22 highlights the importance of passing down something of value to future generations—faith, wisdom, character, and love. Your work is a powerful avenue for creating such a legacy.

When you approach work with integrity, excellence, and generosity, you influence not only those around you but also those who come after you. The way you mentor colleagues, care for clients, and serve with humility speaks volumes about your values and faith.

A godly legacy also includes the spiritual seeds you plant. Sharing your faith, encouraging others, and demonstrating Christ’s love create ripple effects that extend into eternity. As you reflect on your work, consider how your efforts contribute to God’s kingdom and inspire those who follow.

Leaving a legacy doesn’t require perfection; it requires faithfulness. Trust God to use your work, no matter how small or ordinary it seems, to make an eternal difference.

Application Question / Challenge:

What kind of legacy are you leaving through your work? Identify one way you can invest in the lives of others to leave a lasting impact.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to leave a legacy that honors You and inspires others to follow Your ways. Teach me to use my work as a tool to build Your kingdom and bless future generations. Amen.
