Scripture
“A gentle tongue is a tree of life.” — Proverbs 15:4 (ESV)
Devotional
Your words have power—especially in moments of stress. Clients listen closely to your tone, your wording, and your reassurance. A gentle, peace-filled voice can calm tension, build trust, and bring clarity when emotions run high.
Being gentle in speech doesn’t mean avoiding truth—it means delivering truth with grace. It means choosing words that comfort rather than criticize. It means slowing your pace and softening your tone. It means speaking life rather than frustration.
Jesus’ words brought peace because His heart was full of peace. When your heart is anchored in Christ, your words naturally bless, uplift, and encourage.
Your clients may not notice every detail of what you say—but they will absolutely remember the peace or stress your words brought them.
Let your words today be a tree of life.
Reflection Questions
• What tone do I usually bring into conversations?
• Who needs a gentle, life-giving word from me?
• How can I slow down my speech to reflect Christ?
Prayer
Lord, let my words bring peace. Guard my tone, guide my speech, and make my conversations life-giving and Christlike. Amen.
