Living with Open Hands [Financial Advisor #189]

Scripture

“The earth is the Lord's and everything in it.” — Psalm 24:1.

Devotional

Stewardship begins with ownership.

Or more accurately, recognizing who the true Owner is.

Everything belongs to God.

Your career.

Your resources.

Your opportunities.

Your relationships.

Even your abilities.

You have been entrusted with these gifts, but you do not own them.

This truth creates freedom.

When you view life through the lens of stewardship, you hold things differently.

Success becomes a responsibility rather than an entitlement.

Resources become tools rather than trophies.

Opportunities become assignments rather than possessions.

Living with open hands allows God to direct your priorities and shape your decisions.

It also makes generosity possible.

People who recognize God's ownership are more willing to share, serve, and give because their security rests in Him rather than in what they possess.

The tighter you cling to things, the more control they gain over your heart.

The more open your hands become, the freer you become.

Stewardship is not about losing something.

It is about trusting the One who owns everything.

Reflection Questions

• What am I holding too tightly right now?

• How does recognizing God's ownership change my perspective?

• Where is God inviting me to trust Him more fully?

Action Step

Identify one area where you need to release control and intentionally surrender it to God.

Prayer

Lord, remind me that everything belongs to You. Help me live with open hands and faithfully steward all that You have entrusted to me. Amen.
