Scripture
Let the wise listen and add to their learning. Proverbs 1:5.
Devotional
Listening is not a passive skill—it is an active discipline and one of the most significant marks of excellent service. When you listen deeply, you learn what clients truly value, fear, desire, or misunderstand. You hear more than words—you hear heart.
Listening prevents miscommunication, strengthens relationships, and allows you to guide with wisdom rather than assumption. It diffuses tension, builds trust, and shows clients that they matter.
Jesus listened with compassion, curiosity, and patience. He heard the unspoken pain behind people’s questions and the deeper need beneath their requests. As His follower, you are called to listen the same way.
A listening broker is a trusted broker—and a powerful witness.
