Scripture: “So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.” — Acts 24:16
Devotional
Not every ethical decision in finance is black and white. Sometimes the challenge lies in the gray areas—where the rules are ambiguous, the motives mixed, and the outcomes uncertain. In these moments, your conscience becomes a vital guide, shaped by Scripture and surrendered to the Spirit.
Paul strove to keep his conscience clear—not just legally, but before God. That’s the standard for a Christian advisor: not just “Can I do this?” but “Should I?” Not just “Is this allowed?” but “Does this reflect Christ?”
When you face ethical tension, pause. Pray. Seek godly counsel. Choose what honors God, protects your witness, and serves your clients’ long-term good. In a world where compromise is common, conviction is a light—and your integrity can lead others home.
Reflection Questions:
Have you faced ethical gray areas in your work? How did you navigate them?
What helps you recognize the Spirit’s prompting when the path is unclear?
How can you reinforce a decision-making process that honors both conscience and Christ?
Prayer
Lord, guide me when decisions aren’t clear. Shape my conscience by Your Word. Help me honor You in both what I choose and how I choose it.
