Partnering With Other Believers at Work [TDPOW #193]

 Scripture

Hebrews 10:24–25 — “…let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works… encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Devotional

If there are other believers in your workplace, you have a precious resource: brothers and sisters in Christ who share your ultimate loyalty. But in the busyness and privacy of modern work, it’s easy to live parallel lives—knowing they’re there, yet rarely encouraging one another in the Lord.

Hebrews calls you to intentionally “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” That might look like praying together occasionally, checking in about spiritual struggles, sharing Scripture via text, or simply reminding each other that what you do matters to God.

You don’t have to form a formal group for this to count (though that can be wonderful). Even informal, quiet support can strengthen weary hearts and embolden faith. When believers partner together in the same workplace, their combined light can shine more brightly than each lamp alone.

Reflection Questions

Are there other Christians in your workplace you know—or suspect—are following Christ?

How intentional have you been about encouraging and “stirring up” one another in faith?

What simple step could you take this week to connect spiritually with a believing coworker?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for brothers and sisters You’ve placed near me at work. Show me how to encourage them and be encouraged by them. Help us stir one another up to love and good works so that together we honor You where we serve. Amen.
