Patience in Developing Others [Accountant #109]

Patience in Developing Others [Accountant #109]

Scripture

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2

Devotional

Helping others grow can be rewarding—but it can also be challenging. People learn at different speeds, make mistakes, and require repeated guidance. In those moments, patience becomes essential.

Patience reflects maturity. It recognizes that growth takes time. It allows space for learning without frustration or harshness. It also creates an environment where others feel safe to ask questions and develop confidence.

In accounting, where accuracy is critical, mistakes can feel costly. Yet responding with patience rather than frustration builds stronger teams and deeper trust.

God is patient with you. He allows you to grow, learn, and develop over time. As you reflect His character, you extend that same patience to others.

Today, approach moments of correction and guidance with gentleness and understanding.

Reflection Questions

How do I typically respond when others make mistakes?

Where do I need greater patience in working with others?

How does God’s patience toward me shape my response?

Action Step

When someone makes a mistake today, respond with patience—focus on teaching rather than reacting.

Prayer

Lord, give me patience as I help others grow. Help me reflect Your grace and love in how I guide and support them. Amen.
