Patience in Process [Attorney #73]

Patience in Process [Attorney #73]

Scripture: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” — Psalm 37:7

Devotional

The legal process is often slow—motions, hearings, negotiations, delays, and extended timelines. As an attorney, you may feel the weight of these delays, especially when clients are anxious or outcomes are uncertain.

Patience can be one of the most challenging virtues in a results-driven profession. You want progress. You want resolution. You want clarity. Yet many aspects of your work unfold over time, not instantly.

God uses seasons of waiting to shape your character. In the waiting, you learn trust. In the delays, you develop perseverance. In the uncertainty, you deepen your dependence on Him.

Patience does not mean passivity. It means continuing to work diligently while trusting God with the timing. It means remaining steady when progress feels slow and choosing faith over frustration.

As you navigate long processes and uncertain timelines, remember that God is at work—even when you cannot see immediate results.

Reflection Questions

• Where am I feeling impatient in my work right now?

• How might God be using this season to shape me?

Action Step: When you feel frustration today, pause and intentionally surrender the timeline to God.

Prayer

Lord, teach me patience. Help me trust Your timing and remain faithful in the process. Amen.
