Scripture: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2 (NIV)
Devotional
Serving others requires patience—especially in a field as complex and unpredictable as development. Projects stall. People disagree. Timelines stretch. Expectations shift.
In those moments, patience is not weakness—it is Christlike strength.
Ephesians 4:2 calls us to humility, gentleness, and patience. These qualities are often tested in meetings, negotiations, and problem-solving situations. It’s easy to become frustrated or reactive when things don’t go as planned.
But patience allows you to lead differently. It creates space for better decisions, healthier relationships, and wiser outcomes.
Patience also communicates respect. When you listen instead of rush, when you respond instead of react, when you give others grace instead of pressure—you reflect the heart of Christ.
God has been patient with you. He works in timelines far longer than yours. When you extend that same patience to others, you align your leadership with His character.
Reflection Questions:
Where am I currently feeling impatient in my work?
How is my impatience affecting others?
What would it look like to respond with patience today?
Prayer
God, give me patience in the midst of pressure. Help me lead with gentleness and reflect Your character in every interaction. Amen.
