Scripture: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
Devotional
It’s easy to look at your career path as a series of decisions—education, opportunities, promotions, or even necessity. But Scripture reminds us that there is something deeper at work. You are God’s workmanship, intentionally placed where you are.
That includes your role in banking.
God has positioned you in an industry built on trust, influence, and decision-making. You interact with people in moments that carry weight—financial pressure, major life decisions, uncertainty about the future. These are not random intersections; they are divine appointments.
You may not always feel like your role is significant. Some days feel routine, others stressful, and some even frustrating. But purpose is not determined by how a day feels—it’s rooted in God’s design.
When you begin to see your work through this lens, it changes how you approach your day. You’re no longer just reacting to tasks—you’re stepping into opportunities God has prepared in advance.
There are conversations you will have today that matter. Decisions you make that carry impact. Interactions that reflect Christ more than you realize.
You are not here by accident. You are here on purpose.
Reflection Questions:
• Do I believe God has intentionally placed me in my current role?
• How might my perspective change if I viewed today as full of divine appointments?
• Where might God be inviting me to be more intentional?
Action Step: Start your workday by asking: “God, where do You want me to be attentive and available today?”
Prayer
Lord, thank You for placing me where I am. Help me to see my work as part of Your plan. Open my eyes to the opportunities You’ve prepared for me today. Amen.
