Placed on Purpose [TDPOW #18]

Scripture: Acts 17:26 — “…and He determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place…”

Devotional

You are not where you are by accident. God has placed you in this time, in this city, in this workplace, and in this role on purpose. He is sovereign over both the big moments and the ordinary details of your life—even your job assignment, your coworkers, and your daily routines.

This doesn’t mean every environment is easy or ideal. But it does mean God can use you right where you are. Your workplace is one of the primary fields where you live out your calling as a follower of Christ. The people around you—customers, clients, patients, students, coworkers—are not random; they are part of your mission field.

When you recognize that God has placed you on purpose, your perspective changes. Instead of asking only, “How can I get out of here?” you also ask, “Lord, how do You want to use me here?” Your workplace becomes more than a location—it becomes a calling.

Reflection Questions:

1. How does it change your mindset to believe God has placed you where you are on purpose?

2. Who might God be inviting you to encourage, serve, or pray for at work?

3. What small step can you take today to be more intentional where He has placed you?

Prayer

Lord, thank You that my life is not random. Help me see my workplace as part of Your plan. Show me how to serve, love, and reflect You right where I am today. Amen.
