Praying for Your Clients by Name [Sales Professional #181]

Scripture

“I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions… be made for all people.” — 1 Timothy 2:1 (ESV)

Devotional

Your clients are more than accounts or opportunities—they are people with families, worries, dreams, and eternal souls. Paul urges believers to pray for “all people,” which includes the individuals you interact with daily.

Praying for your clients is not manipulative; it is loving. Pray that God:

Opens their hearts

Gives them wisdom in their decisions

Protects them from deception

Blesses their families

Reveals Himself to them through your life

Even if they never buy from you, your intercession may be part of God’s pursuit of their hearts. Imagine meeting someone in eternity who says, “Your prayers made a difference in my life.”

Your client list can become your prayer list.

Reflection Questions

How often do I pray for my clients personally?

Who on my list seems to especially need prayer today?

How would my heart toward clients change if I interceded for them regularly?

Prayer

Lord, I lift up my clients to You by name. Bless them, guide them, and reveal Yourself to them. Let my interactions with them reflect Your love and truth. Amen.
