Renewed for the Next Assignment [Healthcare Professional #131]
Scripture
"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles..." — Isaiah 40:31.
Devotional
Healthcare is filled with one assignment after another. As soon as one patient is discharged, another arrives. One crisis ends, another begins. Without intentional renewal, constant serving can quietly drain both your body and your spirit.
God never intended His servants to live depleted.
Isaiah reminds us that renewed strength comes not merely from time off but from waiting upon the Lord. Waiting means placing yourself in His presence, allowing Him to replenish what the demands of ministry have exhausted. His renewal reaches beyond physical rest to restore your hope, courage, perspective, and joy.
You cannot continually pour into others without allowing God to pour into you. Every shift you complete creates another opportunity to return to the Source of your strength.
As you spend time with Him, God prepares you not only to recover from yesterday's work but to faithfully embrace tomorrow's assignment.
