Scripture: “Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise.” — Proverbs 15:31
Devotional
Criticism is inevitable in a profession centered on accuracy and accountability. Reviews, audits, corrections, and feedback can feel personal, even when they are not. Scripture invites us to respond to correction with humility rather than defensiveness.
Grace in criticism begins with listening. It resists the impulse to justify prematurely and instead seeks understanding. Even when criticism is imperfect or unfair, it offers an opportunity for growth in patience and maturity.
Responding with grace strengthens credibility. It communicates confidence rooted in humility rather than ego. It also protects relationships that might otherwise be strained by defensiveness.
God uses correction to refine character. When you receive feedback with openness, you demonstrate wisdom and spiritual maturity.
Today, view criticism not as threat, but as opportunity.
