Responding with Gentleness [Healthcare Professional #94]

Responding with Gentleness [Healthcare Professional #94]

Scripture

“A gentle answer turns away wrath.” — Proverbs 15:1 (ESV)

Devotional

In a high-stress environment, emotions can run high. Patients may be anxious or frustrated. Families may be overwhelmed. Coworkers may feel pressure.

In these moments, your response matters.

Gentleness is not weakness—it is strength under control. It is the ability to remain calm, composed, and respectful even when tension rises.

Jesus demonstrated gentleness in His interactions. He responded to people with patience and care, even when they were difficult or emotional.

You are called to reflect that same gentleness.

Your tone, your body language, and your words all contribute to how your message is received. A gentle response can de-escalate tension and create space for understanding.

Even when situations are challenging, you can choose how you respond.

Gentleness brings peace into difficult moments.

Let your response reflect Christ today.
