Resting in God’s Provision [Accountant #65]

Listen to devotional here.

Scripture: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19

Devotional

Work often comes with pressure—deadlines, expectations, financial goals, and responsibilities. It can create a sense that everything depends on your performance.

Yet Scripture offers a different perspective: God is your provider.

This truth does not remove your responsibility to work diligently, but it does remove the burden of believing that everything rests on you. Your role is faithfulness; provision belongs to God.

When you fully embrace this truth, anxiety begins to lose its grip. You are freed from the constant need to control outcomes, secure every detail, or carry every burden alone.

Rest is not just physical—it is spiritual. It is the ability to trust God even while you continue working. It is a posture of peace in the middle of responsibility.

God’s provision is not limited by circumstances. He sees your needs, understands your situation, and is faithful to provide in ways you may not expect.

Today, release your worries and rest in His provision.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What areas of your work cause the most stress or anxiety?

  2. How can you practice trusting God with those concerns?

Prayer

Lord, help me trust You as my provider. Teach me to work faithfully while resting in Your provision. Amen.

Great reminder that Gods is in control - our job is to obey and follow Him and he will provide the outcomes.
