Scripture: “The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” — Psalm 145:8 (ESV)
Devotional
Everyone makes mistakes—missed deadlines, forgotten documents, unclear communication, or errors in judgment. The issue is never whether mistakes will happen; it’s how you respond when they do.
Integrity is not perfection—it’s repentance.
When you make a mistake, admit it quickly. Take ownership without excuse. Apologize sincerely. Correct it promptly. And learn from it humbly. People trust leaders who are honest about their weaknesses far more than those who pretend to be flawless.
God is gracious and merciful, and His grace empowers you to be honest without fear. Mistakes become moments of witness when handled with humility, transparency, and responsibility.
Restoration is always possible with God—and it becomes possible with clients when they see your character shine through your honesty.
Reflection Questions:
· How do I typically respond when I make a mistake?
· Is there a mistake I need to address or apologize for?
· What has God taught me through past failures?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your mercy when I fall short. Give me humility to admit mistakes and courage to make things right. Use even my failures to strengthen my integrity. Amen.
