Scripture: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” — Colossians 3:23 (ESV)
Devotional
Client service is one of the most visible expressions of your faith as a residential broker. When you respond promptly, listen deeply, show compassion, manage details with excellence, and advocate for people’s best interests, you are doing far more than performing a job—you are serving Christ Himself.
Real estate is relational work. You enter people’s homes, their stories, and their emotions. When you serve clients with patience and diligence, you reflect the heart of Jesus, who came “not to be served but to serve.” Serving “as unto the Lord” transforms ordinary tasks—showings, calls, paperwork, explanations—into sacred acts of worship.
This mindset changes everything. It removes pressure and replaces it with peace. It shifts your focus from impressing clients to honoring God. It turns frustrations into opportunities for faithfulness. And it gives you endurance during long days, difficult clients, or unexpected problems.
Your daily service becomes a testimony—not through words alone, but through faithfulness, kindness, and excellence.
Reflection Questions:
· How can I view today’s client tasks as service to Christ?
· Where do I need to strengthen my commitment to meaningful, excellent service?
· How does serving “as unto the Lord” change my attitude?
Prayer
Lord, help me serve every client as if I am serving You. Let my work honor You, my patience reflect You, and my diligence glorify You. Amen.
