Details can feel tedious—suite numbers, expiration dates, option windows, escalation schedules, parking ratios, utility responsibilities. Yet these “little” things often have big consequences. Overlooking a single clause or key date can cost clients money, leverage, or opportunity.
Owning the details doesn’t mean you never miss anything; it means you treat the details as part of your calling, not as an annoying distraction. You check the lease one more time. You confirm the deadline instead of trusting your memory. You verify that everyone is working off the latest draft.
When you’re faithful in small things, God can trust you with greater responsibility. Clients may never know all the ways your attention to detail protected them—but God does. He sees your diligence when no one else does and delights in it.
The crosshairs of excellence are found in the places most people rush past.
