Serving Clients Through Patience [Commercial Broker #52]

Serving Clients Through Patience [Commercial Broker #52]

Scripture: “Love is patient.” — 1 Corinthians 13:4 (ESV)

Devotional

Clients don’t always move at the pace you prefer. They hesitate, change their minds, ask repetitive questions, or delay decisions that seem obvious to you. Patience in these moments is not weakness; it is service. It is love.

Commercial real estate is complex. Even seasoned investors feel pressure when millions are on the line. Tenants wrestle with long-term commitments. Landlords worry about vacancy risks. Your patience becomes a form of ministry—calming anxiety rather than escalating it, guiding rather than pushing.

Impatience may get a faster answer, but patience builds deeper trust. It shows clients you care about them, not just the transaction. It creates relational equity that can last far beyond one deal.

God is unbelievably patient with us. When we extend that patience to others, we reflect His heart in a powerful, countercultural way.

Reflection Questions:

·       Which client is testing my patience right now—and why?

·       How can I slow my pace internally so I can serve them more like Christ?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for Your patience toward me. Help me extend that same patience to my clients, especially when I feel rushed, stressed, or pressured. Amen.
