Luke 6:27 — “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you…”
Devotional
Most coworkers are not “enemies,” but some may feel close—those who undermine, criticize, or oppose you. Everything in you wants to distance yourself or get even. Jesus’ words cut across that instinct: “Love…do good.” He calls you to respond to difficult people with supernatural grace.
Loving difficult coworkers doesn’t mean tolerating abuse or ignoring boundaries. It means you refuse to mirror their behavior. You pray for them instead of plotting against them. You speak respectfully even when they don’t. You look for ways to serve in appropriate ways, trusting God with your reputation and defense.
This is impossible in your own strength—but not in His. As you remember how Christ loved you when you were His enemy, your heart softens. You begin to see difficult people not as villains, but as broken image-bearers in need of the same mercy you’ve received.

How have you been reacting to them—internally and externally?
What is one specific way you could “do good” for them this week, with wise boundaries?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You loved me when I was far from You. Help me love difficult people at work with Your love. Show me how to do good, speak kindly, and trust You to be my defender. Amen.
