Serving Through Prayer (Even When They Don’t Know) [Commercial Broker #70]

Scripture

“I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.” — 1 Timothy 2:1 (ESV)

Devotional

Many of your clients, colleagues, and counterparties may never ask you for prayer—or even know you’re praying. Yet interceding for them is one of the greatest ways you can serve.

You can pray while driving to a tour, “Lord, give this client wisdom.” You can pray over a conference call list, asking God to work in each life. You can bring a tense negotiation before God, asking for fairness and peace. You can pray for a struggling business owner’s finances, marriage, or soul—whether or not you ever say it out loud.

Prayer invites God’s power and presence into situations you cannot control. It shifts your heart from mere performance to partnership with Him. Over time, you may even find moments to gently say, “Would you mind if I prayed for you?”—but even if not, heaven is hearing your quiet intercession.

Reflection Questions

Who in my current pipeline or network most needs prayer right now?

How can I build a simple habit of praying as I move through my workday?

Prayer

Father, teach me to serve others through prayer. Bring specific names and situations to mind, and move powerfully in their lives as I lift them before You. Amen.
