Serving Through Problem Solving [Real Estate Dev #72]

Serving Through Problem Solving [Real Estate Dev #72]

Scripture: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (ESV)

Devotional

Development is full of problems. Unexpected issues arise constantly—construction delays, budget overruns, regulatory challenges, tenant concerns. It can be easy to view these problems as obstacles to overcome. But Scripture invites you to see them differently—as opportunities to serve.

Galatians 6:2 calls us to bear one another’s burdens. In your work, that often means stepping into problems not just to fix them, but to serve the people affected by them.

When a contractor is struggling, when a partner is under pressure, when a tenant faces uncertainty—you have the opportunity to respond not just as a developer, but as a servant leader.

Problem-solving becomes ministry when your goal shifts from “How do I resolve this?” to “How can I help the people involved through this?”

This mindset changes everything. It brings compassion into complexity and purpose into pressure.

Jesus consistently stepped into the burdens of others. He didn’t avoid problems—He moved toward them with love and authority.

As you face challenges today, ask not only how to solve them, but how to serve through them.

Reflection Questions:

  • How do I typically respond to problems—frustration or service?

  • Who is most impacted by the challenges I’m currently facing?

  • How can I use problem-solving as an opportunity to serve?

Prayer

God, help me see problems as opportunities to serve others. Give me wisdom to resolve challenges and compassion to care for those affected. Amen.
