Scripture: “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.” — Ephesians 4:2 (ESV)
Devotional
Patience is often tested in banking.
Clients may not understand processes. Conversations may take longer than expected. Situations may become repetitive or frustrating.
In these moments, patience is more than a personality trait—it is a reflection of Christ’s character.
Patience allows you to respond with grace instead of frustration. It creates space for understanding instead of tension. It helps you remain steady in situations that might otherwise feel draining.
Serving with patience doesn’t mean ignoring efficiency—it means balancing it with care. It means recognizing that people move at different paces and require different levels of support.
Your patience may be the very thing that makes someone feel respected and valued.
It may also be one of the clearest ways you reflect Christ in your workplace.
Today, when your patience is tested, choose to respond with gentleness and grace.
Reflection Questions:
• When do I feel my patience being tested most?
• How do I typically respond in those moments?
• What would it look like to respond with greater grace?
Action Step: When you feel impatience today, pause, take a breath, and respond with calm and clarity.
Prayer
Lord, give me patience in my interactions. Help me to respond with gentleness and grace, even in challenging moments. Amen.
