Scripture: “But when you give… do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.” — Matthew 6:3 (ESV)
Devotional
Recognition can be motivating. It’s natural to want your work to be seen and appreciated. But when recognition becomes the goal, it can shift your focus.
God calls you to serve faithfully, regardless of whether others notice.
Serving without seeking recognition is a sign of maturity. It reflects a heart that is grounded in purpose rather than approval.
In healthcare, many acts of service go unseen. But none are unseen by God.
He values faithfulness over visibility.
When you release the need for recognition, you experience freedom. You can serve wholeheartedly, without comparison or expectation.
Your reward is not in praise—it is in purpose.
Serve quietly, faithfully, and with a heart aligned to God.
Reflection Questions:
• Do you ever feel discouraged when your work goes unnoticed?
• How can you shift your focus from recognition to faithfulness?
Action Step: Perform one meaningful act of service today without drawing attention to it.
Prayer
Lord, help me to serve with humility. Free me from seeking recognition and anchor me in Your purpose. Amen.
