Showing Grace When Clients Are Stressed [Residential Broker #116]

Scripture

“A soft answer turns away wrath.” — Proverbs 15:1 (ESV)

Devotional

Clients often experience high stress—their finances, family, future, and emotions are intertwined in the real estate process. Sometimes that stress spills onto you: short tones, rapid questions, repeated concerns, or emotional reactions.

This is when grace becomes a ministry.

A soft answer—kindness, patience, and gentleness—can disarm frustration and bring peace into the moment. You may be the only calm voice they encounter during their stressful season. Your response can either escalate tension or soothe it.

Grace under pressure shows Christlike character. It says, “I understand. I’m here. I’ll walk with you.”

People rarely forget the person who was kind to them when they were overwhelmed.

Reflection Questions

•            How do I respond when clients are stressed?

•            Who needs extra grace from me today?

•            How can I soften my tone during tense moments?

Prayer

Lord, give me a gentle spirit when clients are stressed. Help my responses bring peace, not pressure, and reflect Your compassion. Amen.
