Skill in Encouraging Others [Residential Broker #189]
Listen to today's devotional:
Scripture
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
Devotional
Encouragement is a skill—one that has enormous impact. A timely word can lighten a burden, ease a fear, or bring renewed strength to a weary client. Encouragement doesn’t require a perfect situation—it simply requires a loving heart and willing tongue.
Encouragement looks like:
acknowledging progress,
validating emotions,
celebrating small wins,
offering hope after setbacks,
reminding clients of their strength,
and speaking words that build rather than burden.
Encouragement is part of your ministry as a Christian professional. It reflects the heart of Christ, who constantly uplifted the weary and strengthened the discouraged.
Your encouragement today may be the spark someone needs to keep going.
Reflection Questions

How can I build encouragement into my daily service?
Prayer
Lord, use my words to build others up. Give me eyes to see who needs encouragement and courage to speak life into their situation. Amen.
