Skill Is Grown, Not Granted [Residential Broker #190]

Scripture

Train yourself for godliness. 1 Timothy 4:7.

Devotional

Skill does not arrive fully formed—it is grown through practice, discipline, repetition, and time. Just as athletes train their bodies, professionals train their abilities. Growth requires consistency, humility, and perseverance.

You grow by:

reviewing past experiences,

learning from mistakes,

studying new methods,

practicing communication,

sharpening scripts and presentations,

seeking mentorship,

and inviting feedback.

Skill growth honors God because it shows that you value the gifts He has given. It turns raw ability into refined excellence.

Do not despise the process—embrace it. The small, hidden acts of daily training produce long-term mastery.

Reflection Questions

What part of my craft am I currently training?

Where am I expecting growth without discipline?

What consistent practice can I build this week?

Prayer

Lord, train me in skill and character. Help me grow through practice, dedication, and dependence on You. Amen.
