Skillful Problem Prevention [Residential Broker #164]

Scripture

The prudent sees danger and hides himself. Proverbs 22:3.

Devotional

Great professionals solve problems well. Exceptional professionals prevent problems when possible. Prevention requires foresight—anticipating what might arise, recognizing patterns, and guiding clients before issues escalate.

Problem prevention includes:

  • preparing clients for inspection realities,

  • reviewing documents before problems surface,

  • setting clear expectations,

  • confirming details with other agents and lenders,

  • anticipating emotional reactions,

  • addressing small misunderstandings early.

This diligence saves clients stress, protects their finances, and keeps transactions smooth. Prevention is a ministry of peace—it minimizes chaos and strengthens confidence.

God often protects His people by giving foresight and wisdom. When you exercise prudence today, you reflect His care and guidance.

Reflection Questions

What potential issue can I prevent right now with one proactive step?

Which client needs preparation to avoid future stress?

How can I build prevention into my routines?

Prayer

Lord, help me see ahead with wisdom. Give me foresight to prevent problems and serve others with excellence and peace. Amen.
