Ephesians 4:15 — “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ.”
Devotional
Healthy relationships at work require both truth and love. Truth without love can be harsh, crushing, or self-righteous. Love without truth can become enabling, dishonest, or shallow. Paul calls you to a higher way: speaking the truth in love so that everyone grows more like Christ.
In the workplace, this might mean giving honest feedback kindly, addressing a recurring issue with humility, pushing back on an unwise decision respectfully, or owning your part in a conflict. It means checking your motives before you speak: Am I trying to help this person grow and protect what’s right—or just venting frustration?
When you speak truth in love, you may still feel nervous. Courage is often required. But as you rely on the Holy Spirit, your words can become instruments of both clarity and grace. Over time, this kind of communication builds trust and fosters a healthier, more Christlike atmosphere.

Do you tend to lean more toward avoiding hard truth or toward speaking truth without enough love?
Is there a conversation you’ve been avoiding that may require truth spoken in love?
How can you prepare your heart—through prayer and humility—before having that conversation?
Prayer
Lord, You are full of both grace and truth. Teach me to speak truth in love in my workplace. Purify my motives, soften my tone, and give me courage to address what needs to be addressed in a way that honors You and blesses others. Amen.
