Scripture: “Speaking the truth in love…” — Ephesians 4:15 (ESV)
Devotional
As a broker, you often deliver hard truths—pricing realities, inspection problems, appraisal issues, or unrealistic expectations. Truth without love can wound. Love without truth can mislead. But truth in love is transformational.
Speaking truth with kindness means:
• choosing tone as carefully as content,
• delivering honesty with empathy,
• thinking before responding,
• and remembering the emotional weight clients carry.
When you communicate truth with compassion, people feel respected, valued, and safe. They may not always like what they hear, but they will appreciate the way you say it. You reflect Jesus, who spoke truth boldly yet tenderly.
Let your communication today carry both clarity and kindness—an integrity that honors both truth and grace.
Reflection Questions:
· Do my words lean more toward truth or love?
· Who needs a gracious, truthful conversation from me?
· How can I prepare my tone before delivering hard news?
Prayer
Lord, help me speak truth with kindness. Guide my tone and words so that they reflect Your grace and wisdom in every conversation. Amen.
