Scripture: “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him…” — Ephesians 4:15 (ESV)
Devotional
Truth without love wounds. Love without truth withers. Commercial brokers often navigate conversations where both clarity and compassion are needed—presenting difficult information, correcting misunderstandings, or advising clients through tough choices.
“Truth in love” means being honest without being harsh, direct without being destructive, and compassionate without compromising. It is Spirit-led communication that honors both God and people.
Whether you’re discussing a disappointing offer, a troubling inspection report, or a challenging financial reality, choose words that build up. Truth spoken in love grows trust and strengthens relationships.
Reflection Questions:
· Do my words tend to lean toward blunt truth or softened compromise?
· How can I practice truth in love in my next client conversation?
Prayer
Holy Spirit, guide my words today. Help me communicate with both honesty and compassion, reflecting Your heart in everything I say. Amen.
