Scripture
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” — Proverbs 31:8
Devotional
There are moments in your work when silence is easier than speaking up. Raising a concern, asking a difficult question, or challenging a direction can feel uncomfortable or even risky.
Yet Scripture calls us to speak when it matters.
As an accountant, you are often in a position to see things others may miss. You may recognize inconsistencies, risks, or decisions that require further attention. In those moments, your voice matters.
Speaking up does not mean being confrontational. It means being responsible. It means approaching situations with clarity, respect, and courage. It means prioritizing truth over comfort.
God uses your voice to protect integrity, uphold trust, and guide wise decisions. When you speak with humility and conviction, you honor both your role and your calling.
Today, do not ignore the moments where your voice is needed.
Reflection Questions
• When am I most tempted to remain silent instead of speaking up?
• What fears hold me back from raising concerns?
• How can I speak with both courage and humility?
Action Step
If a situation arises today where something needs to be addressed, commit to speaking up respectfully rather than remaining silent.
Prayer
God, give me courage to speak when it matters. Help me use my voice wisely and faithfully, reflecting truth and integrity. Amen.
