Staying Faithful When You Feel Behind [Sales Professional #170]

Scripture

“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” — Hebrews 12:1 (ESV)

Devotional

Falling behind—on targets, on activity, on expectations—can create panic. You may feel like you’re running uphill, trying to catch up, and losing ground. But Hebrews calls you to run with endurance the race set before you.

Your race is not identical to anyone else’s. Endurance means:

  • Staying steady even when the pace is slow

  • Refusing to quit when you feel behind

  • Fixing your eyes on Christ, not the scoreboard

  • Trusting that God can redeem time, opportunities, and seasons

When you feel behind, don’t sprint in panic—run in faith. God can accelerate growth, multiply effort, and redeem lost ground in ways you cannot imagine. Stay faithful. Stay focused. Stay in the race.

Reflection Questions

In what areas do I feel behind right now?

How has panic—not faith—been shaping my decisions?

What does endurance look like for me this week?

Prayer

Lord, when I feel behind, strengthen my endurance. Keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and my feet steady on the race You’ve set before me. Redeem the time and guide my steps. Amen.
