Staying Grounded Under Pressure [Attorney #98]

Scripture

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

Devotional

Pressure is part of the legal profession—tight deadlines, high stakes, and constant demands. In these moments, it is easy to become overwhelmed or reactive.

But Scripture reminds you that God is your refuge.

Being grounded does not mean the pressure disappears. It means you remain steady within it. Your confidence is not based on circumstances, but on God’s presence.

When pressure rises, your response matters. You can react impulsively, or you can pause and respond with clarity. You can rely on your own strength, or you can draw from a deeper source.

Remaining grounded requires intentionality. It means stepping back, breathing, and remembering that you are not alone in the situation.

God is present in every challenge. When you rely on Him, you gain perspective, calmness, and strength.

Reflection Questions

• How do I typically respond when pressure increases?

• What helps me remain steady in difficult moments?

Action Step

When you feel pressure today, take a brief pause and remind yourself: “God is present in this moment.”

Prayer

Lord, be my refuge and strength. Help me remain steady and focused, even in high-pressure situations. Amen.
