Devotional
You will make mistakes at work—ethical missteps, harsh words, poor decisions, or failures to follow through. The question is not whether you’ll fail, but how you respond when you do. Stewardship includes confession and repentance, not just to God, but sometimes to others.
Confession means agreeing with God about your sin—calling it what it is rather than excusing, minimizing, or hiding it. Repentance means turning—seeking forgiveness, making amends where possible, and changing your behavior. In a workplace culture where blame-shifting is common, genuine ownership is powerful.
When you practice confession and repentance, you live out the gospel in real time. You show that your hope is not in appearing flawless, but in a Savior who forgives and restores. Over time, this humility can create space for trust, reconciliation, and deeper witness.

How can you cultivate a lifestyle of quick repentance rather than defensiveness?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your promise to forgive and cleanse when I confess. Shine Your light on my heart and my work. Give me humility to own my failures, seek forgiveness, and walk in new obedience by Your grace. Amen.
