Professional success can quietly create the illusion of self-sufficiency. As your expertise grows and others begin relying on your insight and judgment, it becomes tempting to view your accomplishments primarily as the result of your own effort and ability.
Yet Scripture reminds you that every talent, opportunity, and ability ultimately comes from God.
This perspective does not minimize hard work. Your discipline, study, and commitment matter deeply. But humility recognizes that God is the source behind every opportunity to grow and succeed.
In accounting, excellence often leads to increased trust and influence. These are blessings to steward, not reasons for pride. When humility remains present, your success becomes a platform for service rather than self-promotion.
Humility also keeps you teachable. It allows you to continue learning, receiving feedback, and depending on God rather than relying entirely on your own experience.
Today, thank God for the abilities and opportunities He has entrusted to you, and use them to serve others faithfully.
