Scripture: “It is required of stewards that they be found faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2 (ESV)
Devotional
As a developer, you hold influence—over resources, people, and places. That influence is a form of stewardship, and Scripture makes clear what God requires of stewards: faithfulness. Not brilliance. Not charisma. Not rapid results. Faithfulness. God is not impressed by your portfolio. He’s watching how you manage what you’ve been given.
Integrity in stewardship means understanding that what you possess—land, funds, authority—is not ultimately yours. You are managing it on behalf of a greater Owner. That reframes everything. You begin asking different questions: Is this decision aligned with God’s values? Does this budget reflect generosity? Is this design honoring to people made in God’s image?
Faithful stewardship also includes influence over people. Your team, your vendors, your partners—they’re all watching how you lead. They’re shaped not just by your goals, but by your character. Integrity in influence means you’re the same person in private as in public. It means you see your platform not as a pedestal, but as a pulpit—for modeling the way of Christ.
Today, consider your influence a sacred trust. Let your leadership reflect the One you serve. When God looks at your stewardship, may He find faithfulness written all over it.
Reflection Questions:
Where have I been entrusted with more than I realize?
Am I being faithful in managing both resources and relationships?
What does stewardship look like when guided by integrity?
Prayer
Lord, help me to be a faithful steward of all You’ve entrusted to me. Let my influence reflect Your character. May integrity mark every decision and faithfulness guide every step. Amen.
