Scripture
Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
Devotional
Career decisions—taking a job, leaving a job, changing fields, accepting a promotion—can feel overwhelming. There are many factors: finances, family, gifting, location, calling, and more. It’s tempting either to rush ahead based solely on logic or emotion, or to freeze in fear of making the wrong choice.
Stewardship means inviting God into your decisions. You trust Him with all your heart, not just the “church” parts of your life. You seek His wisdom through Scripture, prayer, counsel from mature believers, and an honest look at how He has wired and led you so far.
God’s promise is not that every path will be easy, but that as you acknowledge Him in all your ways, He will direct your steps. Your career is not a random collection of moves; it is a journey under the care of a wise and loving Shepherd.
