Colossians 1:10 — “…so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
Devotional
Calling is not just for pastors or missionaries. Every believer is called—first to Christ Himself, and then to walk in a way that pleases Him in every good work, including your job. Your sense of calling shapes how you view what you do each day.
You may not have full clarity about long-term vocation, but you can have present clarity about your identity: you are a child of God, an ambassador of Christ, and a worker in His vineyard wherever He has placed you. That means your work—however ordinary—is part of your calling for now.
Stewarding your sense of calling means regularly reminding yourself who you work for and why it matters. You seek to bear fruit where you are, even as you stay open to how God may lead you over time. Calling becomes less about chasing the perfect role and more about walking worthily in the role you have.

Prayer
Lord, thank You that my first calling is to You. Help me walk in a manner worthy of You in my workplace. Let me bear fruit in every good work and grow in knowing You as I serve in this season. Amen.
