Scripture: “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:26b
Devotional
In business, greatness is often measured by who serves you—how many clients, how large your team, how wide your reach. But in the Kingdom, greatness is measured by how you serve.
Jesus didn’t abolish leadership—He redefined it. He tied strength to humility, and influence to servanthood. As a financial advisor, you have daily opportunities to choose this path. You serve when you take an extra call without complaint. You serve when you explain a concept with patience. You serve when you prioritize what’s best for the client, not what’s easiest or most profitable for you.
This posture isn’t weak—it’s Christlike. It may go unnoticed by others, but it is celebrated in heaven. And often, the most fruitful relationships—and personal joy—are found not in control, but in compassionate service.
Reflection Questions:
What opportunities do you have today to serve someone with humility and care?
Are there areas where pride or entitlement may be undermining your ability to serve?
How does Christ’s example of servanthood challenge your leadership style?
Prayer
Jesus, You served others even as Lord of all. Teach me to follow Your example—to lead with humility, love with action, and find strength in serving.
