The Battle Against Discouragement [Sales Professional #164]
Scripture
“Why are you cast down, O my soul?… Hope in God.” — Psalm 42:11 (ESV)
Devotional
Discouragement creeps in quietly—after a bad week, a lost deal, a harsh conversation, or a rough quarter. It drains motivation and clouds perspective. Yet the psalmist shows you what to do when your soul sinks: talk to yourself, not listen to yourself.
Your feelings say: “It’s hopeless. ”You speak back: “Hope in God.”
Discouragement loses power when confronted with truth. God is still faithful. Your story isn’t finished. Today’s chapter is not the whole book. Your worth is not tied to performance. Your future is not determined by this moment.
Speak hope to your soul. Anchor your heart in God’s character, not your current circumstances.
