The Cost of Integrity Is Worth It [Banker #25]

The Cost of Integrity Is Worth It [Banker #25]

Scripture: “Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” — Proverbs 28:6 (ESV)

Devotional

Integrity often comes with a cost.

It may cost you opportunities, recognition, or advancement. It may mean turning down deals, challenging decisions, or refusing to participate in questionable practices.

At times, it may feel like integrity puts you at a disadvantage—especially when others seem to succeed without it.

But Scripture makes it clear: integrity is always worth it.

The value of integrity is not measured in short-term outcomes, but in long-term impact. It preserves your character, protects your reputation, and aligns your life with God’s truth.

More importantly, it brings peace. When you walk in integrity, you don’t have to carry the weight of hidden compromises or justify your decisions.

You walk freely—secure in the knowledge that your life reflects what is right.

God sees your faithfulness. And He honors it in ways that go far beyond what the world measures as success.

Today, choose integrity—not because it’s easy, but because it’s right.

Reflection Questions:

• Where have I experienced the cost of integrity?

• How do I respond when doing the right thing feels costly?

• What does it mean to value integrity above success?

Action Step: Make one decision today that prioritizes integrity, even if it comes at a personal or professional cost.

Prayer

Father, remind me that integrity is worth more than success. Strengthen me to choose what is right, no matter the cost. Help me to trust You with the results. Amen.
