Scripture: “Be still, and know that I am God…” — Psalm 46:10
Devotional
Financial advisors often live in constant motion—appointments, market shifts, deadlines, emails. In a profession that rewards busyness, stillness feels counterintuitive. But spiritual health requires margin. Without space to think, pray, and rest, your soul begins to fray.
God didn’t create you to run endlessly. He modeled rest in creation. Jesus practiced retreat in ministry. If you ignore the need for spiritual margin, you risk burnout, anxiety, and shallow connection with God.
Margin isn’t about doing nothing—it’s about making space for what matters most. Time with God. Presence with family. Attention to your own heart. You cannot pour into others if you’re constantly depleted. Stillness is not wasted time—it’s an act of trust that God is still working even when you’re not.
Reflection Questions:
What signs show up in your life when you’re operating without spiritual margin?
Where can you carve out more stillness and reflection in your weekly routine?
What does it look like for you to work from rest instead of always working toward rest?
Prayer
God, help me slow down and be still in Your presence. Remind me that You are God and I am not. Fill my empty spaces with peace, purpose, and perspective.
