The Discipline of Trust [Financial Advisor #76]

The Discipline of Trust [Financial Advisor #76]

Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Devotional

Trust is easy to talk about—but difficult to practice.

In your profession, you are trained to analyze, evaluate, and anticipate outcomes. You rely on data, projections, and experience. These are valuable tools—but they are not your foundation.

Scripture calls you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, not just when things are uncertain, but in every situation.

Trust requires surrender. It means acknowledging that no matter how well you prepare, you do not control the future. It means releasing the need to fully understand and choosing to rely on God’s wisdom instead.

This is not passive—it is active dependence.

When you trust God fully, your anxiety begins to fade. Your decisions become more grounded. Your leadership becomes more steady.

You still plan. You still prepare. But you no longer carry the weight alone.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Where are you relying more on your own understanding than on God?

  2. How does that affect your peace and decision-making?

  3. What would it look like to trust God more fully in your daily work?

Prayer Prompt

Lord, teach me to trust You completely. Help me release control and rely on Your wisdom in every decision I face today. Amen.
